Kung fu Nuns
A 22 minute, HD documentary, directed by Chandramouli Basu, produced by Arjun Pandey and Ambica Kapoor, a film by 24 Frames as part of TVE (Television for the Environment) Life series on the BBC.
The film is told through the eyes of Kunzang, a 26 year old, who has been a nun for the past nine years. They are rehearsing to do a spectacular Dragon Dance. Something that women in this region have not been permitted to do for centuries. With 10 nuns moving each unwieldy tubular dragon in coordination with the beating drum is not as simple as it looks.
Dr Rajvir Yadav
A biography based on the life of legendary transplant surgeon, Dr Rajvir Singh Yadav. The film pieced together the life and times of Dr Yadav across three continents.
An ongoing project which seeks to find how information given to policy makers could change policy and increase interventions to reduce mortality. The study by CGHR(Centre for Global Health Research) had shared in 300 districts across India, 14 specific interventions that if implemented would reduce mortality upto 30 percent.
This information as a district report card and films on the specific interventions in different vernacular languages were sent out to over 3,000 policy makers.
